Peter "Butty" Turland
Sheetmetal Worker, Toolmaker; at post from 1971-1977

The chassis of all of the Grand Prix Tyrrells from 002 to the P34s were each created by Peter Turland, along with help from John McKenzie.

"Butty" Turland got his name by being from the where many people enjoyed "chipped butty", an bit of finer English cuisine consisting of a roll with "chips" (or as known in America, fries). Mr. Turland wasn't known to eat too many, but as he was associated geaographically, the name stuck.
